April Wellness Subscription Box - ReBox

April 2023 ReBox Contents

An Easter inspired box to get you happlily hopping throught the month!

And just like that we are nearly halfway through April!! I hope you had a lovely Easter and managed to enjoy the patches of sunshine in between the torrential downpours?!

We’re celebrating lots of ‘lasts’ at the moment as we are in the process of renovating our new house – this was our ‘last’ Easter in our current (disgusting) rental, we’re entering into the last full term of Primary school before Harri joins her big sister at secondary and this may well be the last ReBox that I package and send from our house before my new office is ready! We’re trying not to wish the time away here (I know time is an incredibly precious gift) but lots of our sentences are starting with “when we are in the new house…” or “when I’m in my new office…” I am definitely treating the experience as an excuse for a complete refresh of all the things we own, routines we have, exercise, diet…you get my drift! (Please stay tuned to find out if anything actually changes other than our address!!)

So, it made perfect sense to me to have this month’s ReBox theme as {Re}fresh. I’ve included lots of gorgeous products to help you have a refresh of certain parts of your daily routine – products to encourage you to make little changes that may become habits that will help you look after yourself better in the long run

When I was choosing the products for this month’s {re}fresh {re}box the first thing that came to my mind was skincare – it’s easy to get stuck in the same skincare routine and not try out new products or regimes that might yield excellent results. With this in mind I couldn’t not include this gorgeous Nurture Face Oil by Ela Life. I know so many of you fell in love with the Ela Life Diffuser in our February ReBox, so I know you are going to adore this scent!

This face oil is the perfect addition to your skincare regime when used with the Gua Sha tool I have included. If you are new to using a Gua Sha tool it is a facial massage tool, but it actually comes with a lot of history. Originally an ancient Chinese healing technique, a Gua Sha is a natural, alternative therapy that involves scraping the skin with a small tool that can help you reduce inflammation, puffiness, and dark circles and also tone, firm and lift sagging skin. I’ve filmed a full tutorial which you’ll find on our Instagram next week but will also outline the basics below. It’s best to follow these steps 2-3 times a week.

Once you have applied the Facial Oil (or your normal moisturiser) follow the following steps.

Hold your Gua Sha with the curved side to your face. Gently glide it gently up and out, starting with the neck. Make sure you’re stroking down the neck, never upwards, to drain fluid.

Next move onto your jawline, chin and around the mouth, stroking the skin between three and five times per area. Always take short strokes in just one direction, not back and forth. If you want to reduce puffiness, work lightly, then more firmly, to relax muscles.

Pressing the tool flat to the skin, next delicately stroke under the eyes or over any redness, to soothe and de-puff.

Finally, work the tool in small horizontal strokes over the brow bone to lift, or hold and press upwards between the brows to release tension.

After adding that refreshing step to your morning routine you are definitely going to be hungry for breakfast. I’m sure you’ve heard a hundred times that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but do you know why? For a start breakfast kick starts your metabolism, helping you burn calories throughout the day and gives you the energy boost you need to get things done. It is said to be beneficial to eat fruit, grains, or lean protein within two hours of waking up which is where your gorgeous, glazed ceramic egg cup comes in. When was the last time you had a boiled egg and soldiers? (Bonus points if you’re using seeded bread 😉) Hopefully this little addition will give you the incentive to take the time to make yourself breakfast.

Another excellent habit to get into (yes, I know I am ALWAYS banging on about this), is to drink more water. If you are anything like me, you need constant encouragement and reminders to do this which is why I have included the perfect handbag-sized water bottle. I am put off lugging my big water bottle around as a. it doesn’t always fit in my bag and b. is really heavy! I’ve been searching for the perfect leak proof; mini bottle and I think I’ve found it! Fill it up, pop it in your handbag and remember to sip on the go! You can also find a handy tool here that shows you where your nearest refill station is! Winner!

Finally (apologies this has become rather wordy!), I have popped in the tasty mini egg marshmallows for no other reason than it’s Easter and they are absolutely delicious!

If you think this sounds like a lovely gift to give yourself every month (you’re not wrong!), then you can join us today and get your first box half price too.

Love

Andrea xx
